Who we are:

Our passion at Lodestar is for the Glory of God and for families and individuals to be strengthened by Truth and to walk in Grace with their eyes fixed on Jesus. (Heb.12:2)

This is also our vision for homeschoolers. We view homeschooling as a tool for full-time discipleship of our children and are committed to choosing authentic education over schooling.

Lodestar Ministries Inc. is a 501-C3 non-profit ministry.

To strengthen and equip families with Truth in the discipleship of their children and to encourage homeschooling through authentic education rather than schooling.

Our Story:

On a Wednesday evening in the summer of 2005, my friend and pastor first brought up the idea for a non-profit teaching ministry. For several years I had been leading and teaching a large women’s Bible study, directing and teaching a homeschooling support group, and had a heart to share my gifts and passion with the world. A non-profit ministry would give us the structure and support and be an avenue to make that possible.

From that conversation around the coffee table in my living room, Lodestar Ministries was born. Since that time we have had the delight of increasingly impacting families and individuals with a life-changing, family strengthening view of life and homeschooling.
