I cannot tell you how much I LOVE Clearplay! I have known about the service for years but just recently investigated and purchased it.
It is a DVD player and filter that subtly edits as much or as little that you want out of movies on DVD – language, violence, profanity, bloodshed and sexual content…You can adjust each of those settings where you want them for each movie.
For example, I usually have it at the highest settings on everything. Except when watching a war or action movie with my son, we might raise the level of violence a little because males enjoy more battling and fighting than I do.
I do enjoy a good movie. NOW I can watch so many that weren’t available to me before because my previous filter only removed foul language!
There was a particular movie that has significant sexual content in it and so I had never seen it. The other night I thought I would test Clearplay and so I rented it. (I even felt guilty because of what the employee would think of my selection. So, I actually explained that I had Clearplay, and how it filters, to the guy behind the counter). I never would have known that anything was “missing” from the original version, but is certainly was. It’s great!
